After getting a very cherubic debut as a child star in Rickshaw Mama, the classic beauty Sridevi Vijaykumar (Manjula's and Vijaykumar's daughter) had little luck as a young heroine in Kollywood in spite of her parents' solid support. After movies like Devadaiye Kandain and Thithikudhey, she has now turned her attention to Telugu and Kannada movies . At present, she is busy with the Kannada remake of the Vijay-Shalini starrer, Kaadhalukku Mariyadhai, which was a super-duper hit among teens and parents alike for its novel propagation of love marriages and parental obedience. Except for her, the rest of the cast are all newcomers. Manjira, also spelt Manjeera, is her latest offering in Telugu. She has acted in about six other movies in Telugu. She is portraying a Muslim girl for the first time in her career and says this will quite different from other love stories that are currently being released. Under Sai Banu's and M. Sambasiva Rao's production, the movie will be made by MAK Arts. Sai Bhanu is also debuting as director with newcomer Goutham as the hero. The film is a conflict-ridden love story with Salim Panda in a very starkly negative role. One of the highlights of the film is that Raghuvaran had a major role; this might may be his last film with his part completed. Brahmanandam, Surya, Jeeva, Dandapani and Ravali Bhanuchandar are among the star supporting cast. Music is composed by Shekar Chandra. The makers hope to release the audio later this month and the film in September.

Sridevi Vijaykumar (born on 29 October 1986) is an Indian film actress. Starting off as a child artist in the 1992 Tamil film Rickshaw Mama, she has appeared in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada language films.
Sridevi was born in Los Angeles as the youngest girl child to Tamil actor Vijayakumar and Manjula, a popular South Indian actress. Sridevi has two older sisters, Vanitha and Preetha (Popularly known as Rukmini), and one older half brother, Arun Vijay.She started off as a child artist in Telugu in Rukmini (Telugu Movie Starring her sister Preetha in lead role) and made her debut as heroine in Kathir’s Kadhal Virus. She shifted to Telugu and made it big there. She was critically acclaimed for her performance in AVM's Priyamana Thozhi with Madhavan. Sridevi Vijaykumar is a very popular South Indian actress.Sridevi was born in Los Angeles on October 29, 1986. She is the youngest daughter of Tamil actor Vijaykumar and Manjula. Her sisters are Vanitha and Preetha. She also has a brother called Arun. Sridevi is mainly concentrating on Telugu movies. She got married to an NRI named Rahul in 2009.
